What is the Uprising? Well, The Uprising is probably
the coolest place to be. It's a youth group from Grace
Church in Southern Pines. Some may call us weird or
even a little crazy but we believe in pursuing God with
everything!! Hence the name the UPRISING. We believe in
coming together to overcome the ways of the World. We
are rising up and following a life that is pleasing to
God and following His ways and His will in all we do!!
We are taking our school, our town, our friends and
family for God. If you have any questions about God or
about anything we will be happy to answer them for you.
We, the Uprising, love to have fun and do crazy things
like jump into 3ft. of water off a huge hill with a
ramp on top of it on a bike and practically get
killed...or make a movie and actually hit someone with
a car (He got a concusion) or Heath's brillant idea to
stick your hand in an ice and rock salt mixture and see
who can hold it in the longest (the winner got external
frost bite or something like that)...but we also love
to just hangout and get together. We have traveled
around the World to share with others God's
ways...Honduras heck yes!! And the wonderful
Mexico...you can't forget RODO!!! Anyways I think I
have typed enough.... but ultimately our youth group
really is awesome and we love it! We have fun in all we
do but most of all we pursue God in all we do. We want
to live each day without regrets...even though none of
us are perfect we make mistakes. The Uprising is the
coolest youth group ever!!
